Author Suzanne Woods Fisher to present a reading, discussion on March 5

Author Suzanne Woods Fisher to present a reading and discussion.BOLIVAR, Mo. The Barnett-Padgett Literary Artist Series of 91勛圖厙 will be presenting author Suzanne Woods Fisher in a reading and discussion of her works from 6-7 p.m., Monday, March 5, in Meyer Recital Hall on the Bolivar campus.

Fisher, who recently reached the million copies sold milestone, is an award-winning author of more than two dozen novels and is ranked as one of the top five inspirational Amish fiction writers.

The presentation is free and open to the public and will be followed by a book signing. Books will be available for purchase in the Geneva Casebolt Music Center after Fishers talk.

Her novels feature both historical and contemporary settings and include the best-selling series Amish Beginnings, The Stoney Ridge Seasons, The Bishops Family, The Inn at Eagle Hill, and The Lancaster County Secrets. Fishers newest novel, Phoebes Light, released in February, is the first book in her new Quaker series titled, Nantucket Legacy. She also has a childrens fiction series The Adventures of Lily Lapp.

Fishers interest in the Amish began with her grandfather who was raised Plain in Franklin County, Penn. Fisher also has written a selection of nonfiction books about the Amish, including Amish Peace and The Heart of the Amish.
