SBU-Bolivar's first PLBSN cohort scores 100-percent NCLEX pass rate
91³Ô¹ÏÍø's College of Health Professions is excited to announce a 100-percent pass rate by the Bolivar campus' first Pre-Licensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (PLBSN) cohort on the National Council Licensing Examination (NCLEX).

The 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Division of Arts and Humanities will present Tim Wootton in a faculty trumpet recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Meyer Recital Hall on the Bolivar campus.

Wallgren, Glasgow crowned Mr. and Miss Southwest
Zack Wallgren, a computer science and mathematics major from Wentzville, and Hanna Glasgow, an elementary education major from Grove, Okla., won the titles of Mr. and Miss Southwest at the annual pageant on Friday, March 4, at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø.
SBU celebrates inauguration of 26th President - Dr. Richard J. Melson
91³Ô¹ÏÍø celebrated the inauguration of Richard J. Melson, Ph.D., as its 26th president in a ceremony Wednesday, March 2, in Mabee Chapel on the Bolivar campus. The inauguration formally commemorates the beginning of Dr. Melson's leadership at SBU, while celebrating the University's rich history and reaffirming the University's mission of being a Christ-centered, caring academic community preparing students to be servant leaders in a global society.

SBU Theatre to present "The Pirates of Penzance" on March 10-13
91³Ô¹ÏÍø Theatre will present "The Pirates of Penzance" - its third production of the 2021-22 season - at 7 p.m., March 10-12 and at 2 p.m., March 13 in the Davis-Newport Theatre on the Bolivar campus.

SBU's annual Mr. and Miss Southwest pageant to be held March 4
91³Ô¹ÏÍø will honor one male and one female student at the annual Mr. and Miss Southwest Pageant, which takes place at 7 p.m. Friday, March 4, in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.

SBU Division of Education inspires future educators
91³Ô¹ÏÍø's Division of Education is encouraging current and future educators through multiple initiatives. The Missouri Department of Education reports that enrollment in Missouri teacher preparation programs has declined more than 25 percent during the past decade. Additionally, the rate at which teachers leave the profession is higher than the national average.
